The real app, with an example account
Sound familiar?
Three years of hours. One signature at the end. A lot can go wrong in between.
- “Will these hours even count?”
- Each week is checked against New York’s rules as you log it. If the app can’t count a week, you see why now, not three years from now. NYSED decides what it accepts.
- “What if my supervisor leaves before they sign?”
- They confirm your weeks as you go, and keep their own copy each time. Wherever they are when you finish, they’ve already checked every week, so signing is quick, not a favor.
- “I changed jobs. Now what?”
- Tell the app. The hours you logged there still count, and that supervisor’s Form 4B is ready right away, so you can get it signed while it’s fresh.
- “I’m already halfway through. Is it too late?”
- Not at all. Add your job with its real start date, then fill in the weeks you’ve already worked, one at a time or as a range.
- “Which form do I need, and when?”
- Every step from LMSW to LCSW, in order, with the official NYSED form linked, and an honest estimate of when you can apply.

A note from the founder
“When I finished school, I didn’t know what came next. Which form first? Who signs what? Then I got moved to another job, and I had no idea what to do.
So I built Licensure Hours, starting with social workers. I really hope it makes this easier for you.”
How it works
The part everyone dreads, a few minutes now and then
At the end, one person signs Form 4B for 2,000 hours of your work, and NYSED asks them whether they kept a record of your hours. Sending your weeks every month or two gives them that record as you go, so signing is quick: they’ve already checked every week. It isn’t a favor you ask three years later of someone who may have moved on.
- 1
You log a week
Usually one tap. Most weeks look like the last one.
- 2
Your supervisor gets a link
No account, no password, no software to learn. It opens in their browser.
- 3
They confirm, and keep a copy
A whole batch in one tick, and their own copy of your log arrives by email, for their records.
The whole path
Every step from your LMSW to your LCSW
Who acts, what it costs and how long it takes, with the official NYSED form or page linked. The step you are on stays open; the rest waits until it matters.
- A qualified supervisor and setting lined up before your hours start counting
- Your three clocks: 2,000 hours, 100 of supervision, 36 months
- An honest estimate of when you can apply, from your own record
When could you apply?
You could be eligible to apply around
October 2029
Your 36 months set that date. At 15 hours a week, your 2,000 hours are done sooner.
An estimate that assumes about the same hours every week; weeks off move it later. In the app it firms up from what you actually log.

- Each supervisor's Form 4B filled in and ready to sign; Form 4 linked
- The NYSED application, with your answers ready to copy
- You and your supervisor still sign and send: nothing goes out without you

Questions
Is this official?
No. We are independent and not affiliated with NYSED or ASWB. Each step links the official page or form, so you can check it yourself.
Do you submit my forms?
No. We fill in what we can from your record and draft the emails. You and your supervisors sign and send everything, as NYSED requires.
Does my supervisor need an account?
No. They get a link by email, see the weeks you sent, and confirm them in their browser. Each time, their own copy of your weekly log arrives by email, for the record NYSED asks them to keep. Nothing to install, nothing to remember.
I am already partway through.
Add your placement with its real start date, then fill in the weeks you already worked, one by one or as a range.
What does it keep about me?
Your hours, never client records. You can export everything, any time, and it’s yours to keep.
What about other states and licenses?
New York social work (LCSW) and mental health counseling (LMHC) so far. Another state or license is added only after its rules are researched one by one, so it is right rather than fast.
